King Philip Marching Band 2003 Show

Wrentham - Saturday night, the King Philip Marching Band will present its 2003 show, "Any Questions? Music of Leonard Bernstein," at the Yamaha All Class Showcase at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.

The band, known as The Pride and the Passion, recently (Saturday, September 27) won top placement at the Blackstone-Millville United States Scholastic Band competition. The band received best marks for the overall performance, best music, best marching, best effect and best color guard. King Philip, entered in Group 3, for medium size bands, won the overall best band of all five size divisions entered.

At 7 p.m. Saturday, October 11, the public will be able to see the KP Marching Band performing in exhibition at the 2003 King Philip Fall Classic. The competitors include marching bands from 3 states: from Massachusetts, Blackstone-Millville, Dartmouth, Dennis-Yarmouth, and Ashburnham-Winchester's Oakmont Regional; from Rhode Island, Cranston East; and from Connecticut, New London.

Note that the 7 p.m. starting time is a change from all previous announcements.

Admission charges will be adults, $6.00 and, children and seniors, $4.00.
